IGT (International Gaming Technology) sBX
IGT was looking to make an impression at the G2E 2010 show with the latest customer self service window and contacted me after I had worked on the Total Touch Flash UI port at Caesars Entertainment to enhance the look of their Service Window product. The Service Window refresh I worked on was such a hit at the G2E 2010 and ICE 2011 shows I saw it again at the G2E 2011 show without any modifications.
I was working with the CasinoLink team to demonstrate their product's in game customer self service capabilities at the G2E show. IGT has a product similar to Ballys DM but instead of using hardware video mixing IGT had used a software video mixing technology for their Service Window solution and sBX (Server Based Gaming) platform. CasinoLink had created a Flash application that ran on the NexGen hardware but like Caesars did not have a Service Window version and only had a month until G2E 2010 to put one together. IGT had created Flash versions for the Advantage Slot Accounting System but nothing for the CasinoLink group.
The Flash applications I worked on were validated against the IGT CasinoLink Slot Accounting System and IGT Advantage Slot Accounting Systems .When a casino patron cards in there is also a full page animation based on the players tier/club level from information sent from the Slot Accounting System. The background and colors of the Service Window are also customized for the players tier/club level.
I almost almost full creative freedom and was paired with a very talented video producer, Mike Halvorson, who now works at IGT full time. Mike prepared video animations for the titles of each screen and generated many of the .png images we used in 3D software programs to make for a very realistic 3D interface.
