SEATTLE DREAMWEAVER CLASS

In this three day Seattle Dreamweaver Class course you will learn how to layout a database driven website with Dreamweaver CS3. My Dreamweaver CS3 course exercises are peppered with tips and tricks that will help you create better overall designs and streamline your workflow. Learn how to efficiently layout, develop, and maintain standards-based websites. Learn how to quickly incorporate video and other multimedia into your web site and make more efficient updates. This three day webmaster boot camp will walk you through the complete process of laying out a website using a combination of HTML, .jpg/.gif images, flash and ecommerce with a completed database powered website.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Creating database driven websites with minimal hand coding
• Split pane development half HTML and half WYSWYG
• Setting up an Access database for shopping carts
• Setting up shopping cart pages to work with paypal
• Setting up login pages for website visitors
• Setting up database driven navigation
• Setting up ftp to transfer files
• Creating tables for website layout
• Importing graphics and flash into html
• Creating css with Dreamweaver

Day 1

Web Portal Architecture Overview 9:00-10:15 A.M.
Mid Morning Break
Web Portal Management Overview 10:30 - 12:30 P.M.
Break for Lunch (Buffet provided onsite)
Interface Layout Design 1:30-4:30 A.M.

• Photoshop Files
• HTML Tables
• Photoshop Slicing
• Table Backgrounds, .CSS,
• JavaScript and DHTML Rollover Effects
• Adding Flash assets

Day 2

Continental  breakfast / Meet and Greet 8:30 - 9:00 A.M.
Website Database Development Phase 9:00 - 10:15 A.M.

• Create a web content management database
• Create tables and fields for website content

Mid Morning Break

• SQL queries to receive dynamic web content
• Secure Web Portal Administration Area
• Website Administration Navigation
• Website database management pages

Break for Lunch (A lunch buffet will be provided onsite)
Building the Secure Portal Administration Area 1:30 - 4:30

• Importing images,sound and video files into flash
• Animating movie clips using motion tween and shape tween
• Creating a flash intro or flash presentation on CD
• Creating animated flash navigation for a website

Day 3

Web Portal Overview Lecture 9:00-12:00 P.M.
Creating your first flash movie

• Drawing a person with Flash
• Animating text with flash
